I heard this lots of times from my mentor before I understood it so I will attempt to explain it here.

There is no one product, system, affiliate programme etc that is going to be the magic fix for you. So stop continually looking and settle on one programme or system and learn the skills required to master that system.

The ONLY thing that stands between success and you is YOU.

Are you scratching your head...

You can have the best product in the world but if you do not use it consistently you will not be successful.

You can have the best system in the world but if you do not work it consistently you will not be successful

You can have the most successful affiliate programme in the world but if you do not apply consistently you will not be successful.

Still scratching your head...

Did you notice one word in particular in those 3 sentences above.

CONSISTENCY!

Only 4% of people in business are truly successful. So what are the other 96% missing

CONSISTENCY... and

Doing the key basic things of working and promoting their business daily and consistently.

Not just for a few days then taking a few days off. That simply does not work.

Simple...

Got it...

So why do we sabotage out chances of success?

Most people do not decide to sabotage their chances, they simply do not stop to think why they are sabotaging their chances.

Hence, I am writing this article.

Mostly, the 96% of people still looking for success are looking outside of themselves instead of looking inside and asking questions like.....

WHAT am I doing to make my business work?

HOW am I working the system to get my desired results?

WHY am I taking these actions and are they helping me achieve my goal?

I can tell you from my experience, I did not get the results I was seeking until I started asking these questions.

This is one of the main reasons why the 96% of people fail. They simply do not know how to Focus on doing the basics consistently.

It seems in todays society there is so much going on, so many distractions, TV, events, family life, too many temptations etc...

people have forgotten how to focus.

When I was a child my father was the headmaster of our school and when in his class, we all took turns to read aloud from a journal. When it was our turn to read (often starting in the middle of a sentence) lo! and behold us if we could not carry on with the very next word. We sure learned to FOCUS!

That was a while ago (guess my age) and unfortunately there have been a few generations since who have been able to saunter through school not learning how to focus for real. We learned to focus on what we had to not what we wanted to. lol! There is a great difference between " have to" and "want to".

Shame really. As without focus there can be no consistency.

I am not saying it is easy to keep focused with your daily actions for success in online marketing or any business for that matter. It is something that I have certainly struggled with. What I have found though, is that if you surround yourself with like minded people who have similar goals to you then it sure makes it easier to maintain the focus and consistency that your online marking business requires for success.

I belong to a couple of really motivated groups that I communicate with who really help to keep my focus in the right direction. These groups both have Facebook pages that are open all the time for chat. We feed off each others chat, ask questions, post helpful links etc. Of course you can also spend a lot of time on Facebook just poking around wasting time and losing focus too. However, the groups I belong to are full of motivated people who appreciate that time is money and behave very professionally within the group.

To sum up, make a decision to follow one system/programme till you have mastered it. Do it consistently every day. Join like minded groups to help you keep your focus.
